Main Features of Armstrong Electro Permanent Lifting Magnet
Electro Permanent Lifting Magnet is a new Below-the-Hook-Lifting-Device, more than 90% energy
saving and safer compared to electro lifting magnets. Electro Permanent Lifting Magnet needs
electricity for a few seconds only in the moments of magnetization and demagnetization. It
doesn’t need any power supply at all during lifting and transporting.
- Partial lifting capacity and Full lifting capacity
There are two steps for magnetizing EP-B Electro Permanent Lifting Magnet. While it is placed
at the top of a load to be lifted and you click MAG button at the control of EP-B, the Electro
Permanent Lifting Magnets get magnetized partially only. So that it has only a portion of the
rated lifting capacity. A few seconds after lifted, the Electro Permanent Lifting Magnet is
automatically magnetized again but to full magnetization. In this way, there should be a more
margin of lifting capacity.
- Adjustable lifting capacity
To lift single metal sheet from a stack without any clinging to more pieces, there are three
levels of the Partial Magnetization, MAX, MID and MIN. To lift a very thin sheet, 14 gauge for
example, you can select the Partial Magnetization at MIN level and you can lift one piece only
of the sheet metal.
- Demagnetization locked while lifted
You are not able to switch off the Electro Permanent Lifting Magnet after it is lifted. After
the Electro Permanent Lifting Magnet lifted, the demagnetization circuit has been locked by an
electronic device and you won’t be able to release the load beneath the magnet, even though
you accidentally press DEMAG button at the control of the Electro Permanent Lifting Magnet.
- Safe operation of demagnization
To demagnetize the Electro Permanent Lifting Magnet, you have to press DEMAG and UNLOCK DEMAG
buttons simultaneously. This may compel you to give much thought to the magnetization.
- Wireless remote control
You can turn on and turn off the lifting power of the Electro Permanent Lifting Magnet at its front control panel, or at a wireless remote control.
