Alnico offers high magnetic field
Alnico has relative high Residual Induction upto 11,000 Gauss
and produce high magnetic field around it.
Alnico has a low coercive force
The Hc of Alnico drops in the range of 500 - 1,800 Oe, so that
it is easily demagnetized if not handled with care. In order to get
a good work point of Alnico, the ratio of length to diameter should
be 5:1 or larger.
Alnico is hard and brittle
Alnico can be machined by
Grinding and EDM only.
